Just made available is GarageBand for the iPad and sells for $5. This is for the iPad 2 and also includes an update to iMovie. This GarageBand version has been optimized specifically for the iPad. Some of these new features include a Multi-touch interface which you’ll be able to play virtual instruments right on your screen.
Some of these features are:
- 8 tracks per song
- play
- record
- edit (arrange)
With over 250 pre-recorded looped tracks there is enough to start an idea of which you can later export into your computer and straight to you Pro Tools or Logic session. You could also email it straight from the pad.
Wow, nothing’ but convenience! What? you still have to come up with some good music? Oh well… away you go and get busy on your home recording studio.
