Casio PX-130 Review

Casio PX-130 – 88-note weighted action keyboard with USB and MIDI Interface

I remember when a Casio keyboard was more of a kid's toy than a real instrument for a serious musician but things have changed.

A must for the home recording studio and if you need it on stage just put it in the case and go. It only weighs 32 pounds, I've lugged around Roland and Yamaha boards a lot heavier than that… but this Casio stands up to them in sound quality to.

Because of it's 88-note weighted scaled hammer action this keyboardist an ideal MIDI controller for even the most serious piano player, unlike me who can easily get by with 49 keys that aren't even fully weighted.

The Casio 130 does a great job imitating a grand piano sound right down to imitating the sound of the open strings when the dampers are raised by the pedal.

You can listen to the Casio Px130 along with the other Privia models as well, they all sound good. Casio is giving the other big players some stiff competition now:
